Motion Sample 1/16 to 1/2 oz Black or Brown On the skirt trim slightly Make sure legs are free Type of Retrieve Motion Sample
Skin hook on the body of the bait cast to show no weight at all, best used with spinner rod set up. Cast toward or from shore and let it drop, watch the line then slowly lift the tip of your rod and let the Ika sink then reel in slack. Flat tail worm green weenie color or neon brown #3 hooks 1/6 weight Cast toward or from shore slowly bump and reel. Cast to or from shore Reel line till tight then twitch rod left then right every few seconds then let it sit Cast to or from points at the lake, Twitch to get a wobble in the bait, Then reel in with a 5:2 reel in, then let it float up slightly, then reel again. Twitch for a slow wobble / Pause Retrieve. First I usually prepare my swim bait, heat a pot of water, just before boil turn off, now place a package of plastic bait into the water for about 5 seconds then remove. What this does is make the plastic bait less dense so it has more of a swim motion. This gives retrieval a steady motion, if wake appears slow retrieve then let it drop, watch line. If you feel a twitch let the bass take the bait for a couple of seconds till the tension in the line is tight, then set the hook. To set the hook you have to lift the rod straight up hard.
